A doctor and mother of two wanted the perfect home just for her family in a classic Manhattan apartment. Each rooms function and layout was customized to the needs of this growing family, despite the classic, or more typical use.Each room had a visual basis for its palette. Common rooms took cues from natural, harmonious hues and bedrooms drew from the inspired saturated works of Hilma Af Klint.

The covid-19 pandemic made planning and designing a little bit different. All meetings and most final designs were decided upon over video chat and with only a floorplan and estimated dimensions to work with. Samples we’re sent through the mail and followed up with more video chat and fine tuned renderings. I worked closely with a skilled 3D designer to build and detail a model that would serve as our basis of design. I led all aspects of design and set-up for this project and managed construction, provided plans and documentation for work.
